What I learned at Elsevier
Using a complex survey tool like Pendo was a great learning experience both in a technical sense, but also helped me improve my survey design skills.
The breadth of different workflows and preferences for some products (e.g., some import citations via file, others manually copy and paste), highlighted the need to design flexible, adaptable solutions.
I developed my ability to document and communicate design decisions clearly, using tools like flowcharts and Figma mockups to ensure all stakeholders had a shared understanding of the project direction.
I improved my ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to align on requirements and meet product milestones, especially when facing conflicting ideas or ambiguous constraints.
