About me

My journey
I’m currently based in Melbourne, Australia after spending most of my life exploring other places to live.
My “aha moment”
As a graphic designer and illustrator in Kuala Lumpur, I loved the collaboration and the joy of bringing a client's vision to life. But it felt like something was missing, largely because the success of a design too often came down to personal taste rather than problem solving.
When I discovered UX, it immediately clicked. Using my university study and visual background as a foundation, I taught myself UX through online resources and guidance from experienced mentors. I had finally found the work I wanted to do for years.

My interests
I have been passionate about eCommerce since I started selling online at 18

I see fashion as a means of creative self-expression and visual puzzle solving
While living in Tokyo for five years I was an active participant in the Harajuku alternative fashion community, participating in events and appearing in magazines. I’ve also explored sewing and making my own clothes and accessories, including making a Japanese yukata. I often buy a lot of my clothes second hand as a means of sustainability and finding archive pieces.
I collect and use pieces of my wardrobe like flexible components that need to fit within the overall visual language, creative direction, and personality of my style.
I play the scientifically proven most complex game in the world
I love Magic the Gathering because it is infinitely complex. I love navigating the immense complexity of the rules and tens of thousands of unique cards and finding creative, balanced solutions within a set of rules. Designing a deck requires a certain type of systems thinking to ensure that each of the 100 cards synchronises. You can design a deck to express the type of player you are, or to suit the vibe of your play group.
Magic is a game that brings people from many walks of life together and I love the social and community building aspects. I was an active community participant in Amsterdam and also organised weekly games with close friends I made through the community
